The same Pokémon can appear in very different official lines, and those line names matter. A small sitting collectible, a standard Poké Plush, and a room-sized Pokédex-size release are built for different kinds of collecting, so comparing the exact product name and measurements is more useful than comparing character alone.

If you are shopping second-hand, start with the maker, product line, measurements, and clear photos. Different years and regions can use different tags or packaging, so one small visual difference is not enough by itself to decide that a plush is unofficial.
